To help explain things as clearly as possible in this Privacy Policy, every time any of these terms are referenced, they are strictly defined as:

• Third-party service: refers to advertisers, contest sponsors, promotional and marketing partners, and others who provide our content or whose products or services we think may interest you.
• Website: TrendSoft's site, which can be accessed via this URL: trendsoft.net.
• You: a person or entity that accesses or uses this website.

This is the only place on trendsoft.net where we collect personal data from you directly. If you send us a message, we store what you typed and one thing you did not type:

• Your name, your email address, and your company name if you give one.
• The message itself.
• The IP address the form was submitted from, and the time it was submitted.

We use it for two things and nothing else: to read your message and reply to it, and to keep automated spam out of our inbox. We do not use it for marketing, we do not build a profile from it, we do not sell it, and we do not share it with anyone for their own purposes.

Our lawful basis is legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) UK GDPR): you contacted a company expecting an answer, and answering you — and keeping the channel usable — is the interest. You can object at any time.

We keep contact-form messages for 24 months from the date you send them, then delete them. We keep them that long because a conversation about a partnership, a security report or a legal matter can reasonably be picked up again a year or two later; if that reason does not apply to your message, ask us and we will delete it sooner.

Two processors are involved and neither is optional. Cloudflare provides the Turnstile check that verifies you are not a bot, and also sits in front of this website as our CDN — so Cloudflare processes your IP address on our behalf. Our email provider carries the notification of your message to us. Both act on our instructions under a data processing agreement.

When you visit this website, our infrastructure logs technical information in the ordinary course of serving the page: your IP address, your browser and device characteristics, the page you requested and when. This is what any web server needs in order to answer a request and to defend itself, and we do not use it to identify you.

If — and only if — you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics also records how you moved through the site. Consent is off by default: analytics and advertising storage are set to denied before any script runs, and nothing is sent until you press Accept. You can decline, and you can change your mind later. There is no account and no login on this website, so there is no password, no purchase history and no customer record to collect. Earlier versions of this policy listed all of those. They were never true here.

You have the right to ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable form. Email info@trendsoft.net and we will answer within one month. We do not charge for this and we will not ask you to justify the request.

If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk), which is the UK's supervisory authority. If you are in the EU, you can complain to your local supervisory authority instead.

We reserve the right to transfer information to a third party in the event of a sale, merger or other transfer of all or substantially all of the assets of TrendSoft or any of its Corporate Affiliates (as defined herein), or the portion of TrendSoft or any of its Corporate Affiliates to which the Service relates, or in the event that we discontinue our business or file a petition or have filed against us a petition in bankruptcy, reorganization or similar proceeding, provided that the third party agrees to adhere to the terms of this Privacy Policy.

We may disclose information (including personal information) about you to our Corporate Affiliates. For purposes of this Privacy Policy, "Corporate Affiliate" means any person or entity which directly or indirectly controls, is controlled by or is under common control with TrendSoft, whether by ownership or otherwise. Any information relating to you that we provide to our Corporate Affiliates will be treated by those Corporate Affiliates in accordance with the terms of this Privacy Policy.

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the United Kingdom without regard to its conflict of laws provision. You consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in connection with any action or dispute arising between the parties under or in connection with this Privacy Policy.

The laws of the United Kingdom, excluding its conflicts of law rules, shall govern this Agreement and your use of the website. Your use of the website may also be subject to other local, state, national, or international laws.

TrendSoft uses cookies to identify the areas of our website that you have visited. A cookie is a small piece of data stored on your computer or mobile device by your web browser.
